Sliding doors removed the divide between the indoor and outdoor environments
Priory Park, a modern property renovation and refurbishment featuring minimal windows sliding glass doors and mirrored cladding in London. This property required clever design techniques to ensure the extension was in keeping with the existing angular house. Each section of the extension featured exceptionally large architectural glazing solutions to provide an interior living space that was flooded with natural daylight.
The Build It Awards are an exclusive award event that celebrates all elements of architectural design, glazing, self-building and outstanding building materials and finishes. Priory Park was shortlisted within these awards in the best Self Build and Renovation category.
The glass elevations to the rear of the property were created using a combination of structural glass and floor-to-ceiling minimal windows sliding glass doors. With the super minimal framing of 21mm, the minimal windows doors perfectly match the slim joins of the structural glass elements of glazing.
The homeowners of this project wanted to extend and redesign the existing property that was previously been badly extended and disjointed. To create more of an open-plan living space the property was extended out into the rear garden utilising vast glazing solutions to draw light into the ground floor interiors.
The mirror cladding to the external façade of the home creates the illusion of a deeper sense of space, reflecting the surrounding garden plants to soften the harsh lines of the angular property.
