Villa Schilde is a luxury home located in the tree-cladded outskirts of Belgium’s busy cities. The villa is an ultra-modern two-storey family home with an open plan living space across both floors. With a minimal colour palette and need for an abundance of light, the house features a glass façade spanning over both the top and bottom floor.
The expansive living plan is further extended with the sliding door configurations which allow for the full indoor to outdoor transition both to enjoy the pool space and balcony space.
The luxury house glass façade spans across both floors. The bottom floor features an array of fixed and sliding panes to create a system that has several opening configurations. This allows the owners of the dwelling to open certain sliders and create various entrance and exit points linking the garden space and the homes interior.

The slim sliding doors also feature towards the rear of the house in the private office space. This three-track system allows whoever is working to enjoy picturesque views while having the option to enjoy fresh air if they opt to open the doors.
This house glass façade gives full access to the vast balcony space across the second floor. This allows the space to be fully functional.
All of the minimal windows slim sliding doors achieve exceptional Uw values at approximately 1.1m2k (this depends on size and if the glazing is double or triple glazed).
For Villa Schilde a flush floor finish has been integrated to ensure that the systems base frame is recessed to the floor level. This ensures that the base frame of the system cannot disrupt views when open or closed. This is the same for the head frame which is installed within the building structure to further minimise sightlines.
The bi-parting configuration has also been expertly designed and installed to ensure that the meeting point of the two sliders is perfectly aligned with the steel structural beam supporting the home. This allows the house glass façade to hide the steel when closed to create a seamless effect.
