Specification Information

The minimal windows pivot door contains a hold open and self-closing mechanism within the head framing of the pivot door for ease of handling, especially when the window is created at large sizes.

An ergonomic two point thrust lever locking mechanism is integrated into the opening edge of the pivot door to mirror the appearance of the minimal windows sliding doors.

The integrated lock has been tested for security and is designed to ensure that it does not impede onto the glass face of the large pivoting window.

All drainage is integrated into the base of the minimal windows pivot door to allow a flush threshold when open. A stainless-steel blade drain and neoprene sub-base drainage block combine to create a suitable base detail for water resistance and direct water run off away.

For increased levels of weather protection and security, a high quality magnetic sealing strip sit under the door. When closed the seal rises up to slot into the gap at the base of the door leaf.

The minimal windows® Pivot Door is available with an integrated glazing bar design, to create a timeless glazing aesthetic. Aluminium glazing bars are applied to the surface of the glass with a dummy spacer bar behind, for an authentic glazing bar design.

Concealed Automatic Pivot Door Drive

The RD 1000 is a fully automatic electromechanical drive developed for large-format architectural pivot doors. Concealed within the lintel, it preserves the clean lines of the minimal windows® system and can be configured for single- or double-leaf doors, left- or right-hinged arrangements and inward- or outward-opening configurations.

Intelligent sensor technology detects obstacles to support comfortable and controlled operation. An electrical end stop controls a maximum opening angle of 90°.

Supplier reference data lists 230V operation, rated power of 200W, torque of up to 1000Nm and an IP65 protection rating. Reference capacities are up to 350kg for a single leaf and up to 1.8m leaf width. Requirements outside these reference dimensions are subject to project-specific engineering and written technical approval.

The supplier lists the drive as compliant with EN 16005. Final safety devices, access controls, installation details and commissioning requirements are determined for each project.
