Woodbury a glass extension in the Cotswolds is a contemporary residential design featuring a glazing strategy centered around sliding doors. The project required a high performance, ultra slim glazing solution capable of delivering structural stability, thermal efficiency, and large scale transparency without compromising the minimalist architectural intent.

A key part of the glass extension in the Cotswolds transformation, is the 2 track minimal windows sliding doors in RAL 9005 Matt shaping both the architecture and living experience. Designed to dissolve the boundary between inside and out, the doors allow the home to open effortlessly to its surrounding spaces, reinforcing a strong connection to light, landscape, and climate.

The homeowners wanted floor to ceiling  glass with slim sightlines and the Keller minimal windows sliding door was chosen due to its 21mm threshold and floor to ceiling glass. This glass extension transforms the key living area into an expansive, flexible environment suited to both everyday living and entertaining. This seamless transition enhances the sense of space, allowing interiors to extend naturally outdoors and creating a relaxed indoor outdoor flow that is central to the project’s design philosophy.

What makes the Woodbury  glass extension in the Cotswolds  particularly compelling is its ability to be modern without feeling out of place which is what the homeowners wanted. Architects created a space that celebrates the Cotswolds landscape, respecting the existing building, and elevating everyday living through light, openness, and connection which is why minimal windows was the best fit.

A project like Woodbury in the Cotswolds  comes with challenges such as strict local planning rules, the need to preserve the region’s traditional character, and the desire to maximise natural light without disrupting the area’s distinctive stone built aesthetic. minimal windows sliding doors helped resolve this tension beautifully with their ultra slim sightlines and large glass panels with expansive views and bright interiors while remaining visually unobtrusive from the outside.

This project demonstrates how minimal windows glazing can elevate a historic property, delivering a contemporary living space that feels light, elegant, and deeply connected to its setting. Woodbury stands as a testament to how modern design and traditional craftsmanship can coexist beautifully through the use of high‑performance minimal framed glazing.
