Perched on the edge of Ilkley Moor in West Yorkshire,is a stunning Victorian property overlooking the Whafe Vallet. Its elevated setting provides sweeping views out to the moorland and beyond, a striking example of how modern glazing can transform a relationship between architecture and landscape with large sliding doors.

The property is now a contemporary residence with design ambition and high quality glazing solutions. By choosing the minimal windows® sliding door system, the project delivers an elegant, light-filled home. The result is a living space that maximises its natural vantage point, architectural refinement and high performance.

Given the stunning views from the site and the desire to merge interior and exterior spaces, the large sliding doors in Ilkley in Ral 7021 Matt became a natural solution, and key design feature to the rear of the property which overlooks the garden.

The terrace-facing large sliding doors in Ilkley feature three Keller minimal windows® with a series of two track configurations, each with a 21mm sight-line and a Type 2 lock. Together these create and deliver a seamless transition between both internal and external living spaces.

The two key glass elevations were created using our large sliding doors to create the glass extensions in Ilkley. These main glass elevations were U shaped configurations with fixed glass returns and a bi-parting slider at the centre of each read face. Other installations include another two track bi-parting sliding door and a corner configuration with a fixed glass to glass corner.
