College Lawn is a luxury rear extension project in Cheltenham where simplicity, light and connection to the outdoors take precedence. Open corner sliding doors in Ral 7016 were the main focus for this project and were installed to ensure lots of natural light was able to penetrate through the house.
Open corner sliding doors define the character of the new space. With the corner fully opened, the 21mm threshold to the garden feels continuous, and when closed the minimal sightlines and generous glazing invites daylight deep into the interior, creating a luminous environment.
The brief was to dissolve the boundary between internal living and the garden. To achieve this, the three-track corner sliding doors are an excellent example of how carefully specified slim corner sliding doors can elevate a residential extension by improving functionality, light quality, and aesthetic impact.
