Easing transitions between inside and out

The minimal windows® NextGeneration Slider (NGS) system offers a range of base options designed for seamless connections and inclusive architectural design. Every detail has been considered to maximise fluidity of movement and visual continuity.

Floor

The NGS Floor base option of the NGS provides an ‘invisible’ base detail that focuses on durability and long-term performance. This design ensures smooth operation, weather resistance and perfect integration of indoor and outdoor spaces. A flush track allows a smooth transition between finishes, makes the threshold suitable for wheelchair users and unobstructed foot traffic, and keeps the visual impact to an absolute minimum with only a slim gap for the sliding runner per panel. All other gaps are infilled with the chosen floor finish. As both the base and the tracks are hidden underneath the internal floor finish, it is a popular design for those seeking a seamless floor finish.

View

The NGS view base option is engineered to hide almost all surrounding framing, achieving 99.3% glass transparency. Only the vertical interlocks between panels remain visible, creating an uninterrupted glass façade. The track system is fully flush with the floor surface, embedded into the subfloor so there is no projection above floor level. This seamless approach eliminates tripping hazards and delivers a clean, contemporary finish. We recommend a maximum of five tracks, and for configurations requiring more, please speak to the IQ team.
