Ultra slim sliding glass doors to eco dwellings
A trio of luxury eco homes set in AONB in the Chilterns are a development of low carbon homes with a quirky, farm-like designs boasting ultra slim sliding glass doors as the ‘piece de resistance’ of these single storey dwellings on the greenbelt.
The eco homes were designed to sensitively emulate agricultural building with the use of quirky silos as a design feature. The ultra slim sliding glass doors were positioned to the kitchen and dining, and living spaces where they would open fully to immerse its occupants within the rural setting.
Matt black frames to ultra slim sliding glass doors
The contemporary and minimal kitchens combine natural wild oak timber with bold accents of black satin finishes which the ultra slim framed sliding glass doors colour matched to RAL 9005 matt.
The ultra slim sliding glass doors had solar control glass to maintain a consistent internal temperature preventing solar gain, thus lending itself to the eco credentials of the low carbon design.
Slim sightlines of 21mm frame profile maintain uninterrupted views of the stunning plot which was landscaped with wild flower planting to accentuate the site located in AONB.
Luxury eco dwelling design
Each of the luxury eco dwellings were positioned differently to maximise privacy and enhance each of the three dwellings connection to the country landscape.
The overall design includes ingenious architectural detail paying homage to the site’s former agricultural buildings with aluminum-clad silos adding a simple decorative element. Casement slot windows by IQ Glass allow natural light to cascade through these silos. The project epitomises the harmonious fusion of luxury living, environmental consciousness, and architectural excellence, presenting a trio of low carbon luxury biophilic homes that offer exceptional living experiences while serving as sustainable structures within The Chilterns’ idyllic setting.
