No. 10

award winning contemporary glass extension

The main purpose of installing a glass extension onto the No. 10 house was to create a new kitchen and dining room that would face the garden to allow the homeowners to enjoy their views with an ideal indoor-outdoor living experience throughout the year.

The new extension included a set of bi-parting minimal windows® sliding glass doors to help create a large opening into the extension. Installing these slim framed sliding glass doors has helped the homeowners achieve the indoor-outdoor living experience they wanted by merging the new dining and kitchen area with their garden.

These floor-to-ceiling glass facades maximise the natural light intake into the new extension. Having a slim sightline of only 21mm providing the very best views of the garden area with very little obstruction.

The aluminium framing used is thermally broken, providing impressive amounts of thermal insulation into the home. The use of high specification glazing combined with the impressive engineering of these sliding glass doors prevents any draughts from passing through. This then creates a warmer home in the winter.
