new build house with minimal windows®
Multiple units of KELLER minimal windows® were used across the rear elevation of this new build house in Northwood.
The house was designed by Jane Duncan Architects, the new president of the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects), as a replacement dwelling, knocking down the original home and building a modern five bedroom house in its place.
Large glass openings were a key design feature to the rear of the property with each rear room benefiting from its own large window. KELLER minimal windows® were used on the majority of these large glass openings, even being used as slim framed sliding windows to the upper floor.

On the ground floor level the slim framed sliding glass doors create an effective rear door to the large garden whilst maintaining the designers desired frameless aesthetics.
Three sets of KELLER minimal windows®, all in a two pane format, were installed to this ground floor creating minimal patio doors to the kitchen, snug and further living areas granting them all direct access out into the garden.
On the upper floor where the minimal windows® were utilised as slim framed sliding windows set slightly off the floor level with a frameless balustrade integrated into the frames for a modern Juliette balcony for bathroom. The sliding glass doors then created a large opening window, offering fantastic panoramic views from the master bedroom and bathroom.
