grade II listed building renovation
Grange House was a challenging project that needed to seamlessly link three buildings built in three very different eras to form one family home. The main building is a Grade II listed 17th-century house, with the second building built in the 1980’s leading to a 1900 coach house to the rear. The project had numerous constraints; located within a conservation area, the property is grade II listed and half of the courtyard is listed as a scheduled monument.
Using thin frame sliding glass doors on the upper floor with an integrated glass balustrade. This design creates a Juliette balcony enabling the minimal windows® to open up providing the necessary ventilation.
Keller minimal windows® sliding glass doors can be used to link old and new buildings, providing light-filled interiors. They created a fantastic contemporary contrast, whilst ensuring a seamless transition between indoors and outdoors.
