Two minimal windows projects shortlisted for the Architects Journal Awards 2023.

With 2023 steadily coming to a close, many exemplary projects are being recognised and celebrated at architectural award ceremonies.

At minimal windows we eagerly await the Architects Journal shortlists with the hope that at least one of our glazing projects has been nominated.

The Architects Journal Awards 2023 contain two of our projects nominated in either the civic category or the cultural category.

Gainsborough House nominated for the cultural project award.

Gainsborough house is one of minimal windows most recognised projects which helped bring new life to the small village of Sudbury. Working closely with ZMMA Architects, the café and art gallery is now a communal space to celebrate artwork and bring the community together.

Gainsborough features a handful of glazing systems, most noticeably the 4 track slim sliding doors which allow the café area to be extended outside into the courtyard/garden.

Both minimal windows and ZMMA are very grateful for the nomination, and we eagerly await the results of the Architects Journal Awards.

Lea Bridge Library shortlisted for the civic project award.

Lea Bridge is a highly acclaimed community driven project with a  combination of glazing and timber.

With floor to ceiling glass and sliding doors throughout the educational space enjoys a garden view to ensure that ample light can illuminate the building. The glass façade extends over 15 meters to complete the building structure.

Another fantastic project which we are proud to have worked on.
